Medical waste incineration has become a widespread method of disposal, but it has many serious toxic repercussions. It releases dioxins and furans, among the deadliest toxins known to man, INTO our environment. Srishti/Toxics Link has been actively campaigning for non-burn medical waste treatment technologies combined with rigorous waste segregation processes at the source.
