Hyderabad, November 24, 2011: Andhra Pradesh, one of the largest E-waste generating states in India, will need to come with definite plans and initiatives to manage effectively the huge amount of electronic waste in the state. This was discussed during a workshop organised in the capital city by Toxics Link, an Environmental NGO Delhi, to create awareness among the different stakeholders in the city. The workshop was attended by more than 100 participants from IT companies, educational institutions, government bodies and civil society organisations. The workshop, done in association with Guide Foundation for Development, focused on the E-waste Rules and its implications for all users, including corporate and individuals.
